The reality beneath performance

People can still function while carrying too much.

Pressure accumulates. Attention narrows. Conversations become transactional. A company trip may provide entertainment, but the effect often disappears as soon as everyone returns to work.

“Sometimes people do not need to escape. They need enough distance to see clearly again.”

What Langkawi Reset is

Space to breathe. Structure to reconnect. Clarity to return.

Langkawi Reset is a guided wellbeing experience that uses deliberate distance, nature and structured human connection to help participants slow down and take stock.

It does not promise a cure or permanent transformation. It gives people a practical pause, a clearer personal starting point and a simple plan they can carry back into daily life.

The current offer is a controlled Founding Pilot for one organisation and a cohort of 16 to 20 participants.

The programme journey

Three phases. One purposeful return.

The programme follows the approved Langkawi Reset brand architecture.

01

Pause

Step away from the noise. Slow down, settle into the environment and establish a personal starting point.

02

Reconnect

Reconnect with yourself, trusted human relationships and what matters beyond the immediate pressure.

03

Return stronger

Translate reflection into clear boundaries, a seven-day commitment and a practical continuation plan.

Six programme components

Three guided wellbeing modules. Three signature Langkawi experiences.

Participants move between structured reflection and place-based activity. The mix keeps the programme human, memorable and commercially manageable.

MIASA-led core

Guided sessions that give the experience meaning.

Final session structure and facilitators will be confirmed for each cohort.

MIASA 02

Mental Health Literacy & Practical Coping

A clear, non-clinical session on recognising pressure, using everyday coping tools and understanding when additional support may be appropriate.

Peer Support & Personal Continuation Plan

Peer-informed reflection that turns the experience into one seven-day commitment and a realistic 30-day continuation plan.

Signature Langkawi experiences

Activity with purpose, not activity for activity's sake.

For the Founding Pilot, participants rotate in smaller groups and receive one signature experience. Additional rotations can be scoped separately.

Experience 01

Surf Reset · Pantai Tengah

Proposed guest host: Natasha Hudson. Subject to confirmation, suitability and water conditions.

A professionally supervised scenic ATV group on a designated trail near Telaga Tujuh
Experience 02

Momentum ATV · Telaga Tujuh

A professionally supervised scenic route that builds confidence, shared momentum and connection with Langkawi's forest landscape.

Proposed experience partner: ATV Safari Langkawi with Fizo Omar. Subject to confirmation and safety assessment.

Participants making handcrafted chocolate with a local chocolatier wearing a DKawi Chocolate Hut apron
Experience 03

Handcrafted Chocolate · DKawi Chocolate Hut

A tactile local craft session that invites participants to slow down, make something by hand and connect with a Langkawi enterprise.

Proposed local experience partner. Subject to confirmation, class capacity and operating schedule.

Practical pilot rule: one signature activity per participant, delivered through three smaller rotations. This protects programme quality, time and cost.

The MIASA-led modules draw on peer support, Circle Time and mental health literacy approaches, adapted to the Langkawi Reset cohort format.

Why Langkawi

The destination is part of the intervention.

Langkawi creates physical and psychological distance from routine without demanding an extreme journey. Its island pace, nature and strong sense of place help participants notice what normal working environments often conceal.

The experience will prioritise local accommodation, food, venues and carefully selected community partners wherever operationally suitable.

For organisations

More than a company trip. Smaller than a major transformation programme.

Practical enough to begin with one controlled cohort.

For participants

A useful experience, not forced disclosure.

  • Guided time to slow down
  • Practical recovery and boundary tools
  • Meaningful small-cohort connection
  • A seven-day commitment
  • A simple 30-day continuation guide

For management

A controlled intervention that can be evaluated.

  • Clear programme structure
  • Pre-programme preparation
  • Engagement and completion overview
  • Aggregated, anonymised feedback
  • Evidence to inform wider rollout

For Langkawi

An experience rooted in place.

  • Local accommodation and venue spend
  • Local food and enterprise participation
  • Carefully selected community experiences
  • Shared transport where practical
  • Destination impact tracking

Frequently asked questions

Before we begin.

Is Langkawi Reset therapy?

No. It is a guided wellbeing experience. It does not diagnose, treat or replace professional mental-health care.

Is this a company trip or team-building programme?

It may include shared experiences, but its purpose is guided reflection, connection and practical continuation rather than entertainment or competitive team activities.

Who is the Founding Pilot for?

It is designed for one organisation that wants to begin with a controlled cohort of 16 to 20 employees, leaders or selected participants.

Is travel to Langkawi included?

The final scope will confirm what is included. The pilot can be structured from arrival at Langkawi airport or ferry terminal to keep travel arrangements flexible.

Can individuals participate?

The first pilot prioritises corporate cohorts. Individuals may register interest for a future public cohort.

Will employers receive individual wellbeing data?

No. Any organisational reporting will be aggregated and anonymised. Individual responses remain private.

Will every participant complete all three Langkawi activities?

Not in the standard Founding Pilot. Participants rotate into one signature experience so the 2D1N programme remains realistic, safe and cost-disciplined. A second activity can be scoped as an add-on.

Can the programme be customised?

The experience can be adjusted within its approved purpose, safety boundaries and operational limits. Customisation is confirmed during programme scoping.

How do Thynkora and MIASA Malaysia work together?
